Just found out I'll have two weeks off at the end of July (7/22-8/5)and I was thinking of spending it in Yosemite. Problem is I have no idea what Camp 4 looks like at that time, so not sure if its even possible to go without any reservations. Chances of finding a spot?

you'll die from the heat.

The Valley is doable that time a year. There will be a lot of other climbers. Having said that, the Meadows will be much, much nicer. Certain climbs will remain relatively cool: N. side of MCR, NW Face of HD if you were thinking along those lines, stuff on the N. side of the Valley. But it will be hot. Bring your trunks and spend you down time in the Merced.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
