The huge slab of the Presidential Boulder

Description

Excellent place to start if you are a beginner or want access to some easier bouldering. Features a huge slab, about 30 feet long 10-15 feet high, with lots and lots of holds.

Getting There

Easy approach. Short walk through the forest. Park at double sided paved car park 1 mile after junction of south side drive and El Cap bridge road. Walk east on the road (about 200 feet) and then up into a clearing just before the road curves left to a horse trail. Continue up from two large boulders flanking the trail. Boulder is barely visible from the trail.
