Description 

The West Face Bulge is a Bulging Headwall on the west face of Tahquitz. This area of Tahquitz has several classic route like the Vampire, the Step and Super Pooper. The rock is steep on the left side and is bordered on the right by a large break in the rock (The Trough)


Getting There 

Take the climber trail to Lunch Rock. go around Lunch Rock to the left and up. then Travers left along the base to the Trough gully. to get to the Step and Super Pooper take the lager ledge (FBT ledge) (5.0) loacted above and to the left of the Trough.

The Descent from the Top is down the Friction Route. You can also rap Happy Hooker just left of the Vampire.

A distinct line the forms the left margin of the West face Bulge. From the FBT ledge, climbing up and to the right up easy ledges to establish a belay (4th class). Or Take the Vampire and move up and left to establish a belay (5.7). The first pitch is long and the Crux.
