Books Area

Description 

This outcropping also lies within The Fortress proper on the western end and contains three stellar moderate lines.

Getting There 

Can be approached either on a trail up the middle of The Fortress (and traverse left as you near the top) or traverse left at the very bottom of the hill and do your best to find the trail up the far left side. I have had the best luck using the middle trail.

The Books Area resembles three book spines (of varying widths) lying against each other and leaning into the hill. A large, sloping, flatish platform serves as the hang-out base for two of the three routes and requires 1-2 scrambling moves up from the manzanita-scape below.
