I had trouble making this move work so I went out left on a balancy move to one of the little black knobs shown and then a stretch to the big knob above. I think it may be more straightforward (less awkward). A fun route but hard once you get to the end of the knobs... I should say a bit hard and scary as I didn't have the right gear and it was committing to get to the good holds and gear placement.

Wow! What a memory! We lived at Lake Tahoe when my daughter was born, Phantom Spires was her first climbing trip; I did this route while she napped in her baby seat. Thanks for the pic...
