Description

'Beer and a Hotdog' ascends the right side of the right-most developed spire at Luther Spires. The climbing is a pretty sustained 5.8 throughout the 30 feet, making it a nice warmup.

To get there, follow the trail to the right once you've arrived at the spires. The trail climbs up a few big boulders to 'Dog and Grigri, Two Bucks' which is easy to spot. Then the trail cuts right to the spire. Go down and around a big boulder to reach the base of the spire and the start of 'Beer and a Hotdog'.

Protection

Four bolts to a two bolt anchor shared with the .10a 'Cheap Commercial Steak Sauce, Two Fifty'.

A fun little route! If you count the right arete and the larger vertical cracks towards the center of the route as off limits, this makes for a much more sustained thin face climb. Well protected with the four bolts but the clips are a little more difficult because feet and hands are quite thin. The start off the ground eliminating the rock at your left makes for a harder start too!
