Description 

Calaveras Dome and surrounding areas are near Salt Springs Reservoir, on the Mokelumne River, to the southwest of Lake Tahoe.

This area offers excellent multi-pitch free climbs and a few grade V big-wall routes.


Getting There 

Take Ellis Road from Hwy. 88, south to the area. Another route is the road past Ham's Station.

This climbs a line near the center of the North side of the dome.Start from a terrace and to the left of a right facing dihedral.Climb a 5.10a crack to a belay. Continue up the crack (5.10b) to a belay with two Bolts.
