Description

This is the wall that sits a couple hundred yards west of The Burnt Penis.

Getting There

It is suggested to approach from the Cattle Pocket. From the big flat boulder in The Cattle Pocket walk east then right, to the base of this cliff.

The approach to Poodle Wall from Cattle Pocket is BAD BETA, especially if you have never been there before: you will waste a lot of time trying to identify the wall as each new feature comes into view, and spend a lot of up-and-down wandering trying to get there. Marty's new guidebook agrees: Approach up a gully from in the vicinity of Burnt Penis. You don't walk any further, your objective is in sight and obvious, and you don't have to hike uphill on the way out.

I've done both approaches, and both of me agree.

Cheers,
