Description

This is a small East Facing cliff at the southern end of Horseshoe Lake.

Many of the routes are top roped, but there are a few bolted climbs, and a limited amount of slab boulder problems.

It is a good area for families and beginners.

Also if you have 4 legged friends its ideal, since Horseshoe Lake is one of the more popular places for locals to take their dogs for a walk.

Getting There

From the town of Mammoth Lakes follow Main Street, and continue straight at the traffic lights onto Lake Mary Road. Follow this to its end, and park at the Horseshoe Lake parking lot.

Hike south along the west side of the lake, until an obvious granite buttress is reached. The climbs are all found here.

Only a few of the routes have names recorded, so I have listed the lines from left to right Unknown1, Unknown2, etc.

Although they don't have any names some of these routes give good climbing.
