DescriptionThe "Stone Crusade" boulders are the cover photo for John Sherman's book "Stone Crusade". The cover photo is printed backwards. Back in the 1970s, I would bivi here and boulder. I never saw anyone out there. Grant Hiskes named the place Blitzo Bluffs. The boulders were also called The Blitzo Boulders. I'm sure there are also other names for these boulders. Getting ThereFrom 395 take West Portal Road east for 0.2 miles. Turn left and follow this road for another 0.7 miles to the Stone Crusade Boulders. The boulders and parking are obvious.
