I remember having a picture book (hard cover) with several pics of a barefoot Skip leading up some hard routes in Colorado(?) Haven't heard his name for a long time!

Skip, might have been the most talented rock climber in the world at one point.I think that there are others out there that would agree with me!

I'll pretty much agree. He was a fantastic climber and maybe the best "onsight" climber I've ever seen. He was as good off the sofa as some of the world class daily grinders of the day.
