Jerad Friedrichs in the Slowdance/Gleaner Area. No...

Description

One of the first areas on the approach. It's pretty popular on hot days as the shade is abundant. Large boulders with a variety of climbing are found here from short, steep and powerful, to low-angle traverses and vertical highballs. A great place to get started.

Getting There

Hike up the trail for 5-10 minutes. When you enter the canyon and the trail flattens out, it dips down a little and the large, dark boulders will be hugging the right side of the trail. The 'Slow Dance Cave' faces the East Rim and cannot be seen from the main trail. Walk between the boulders where you will see the 'Corner Boulder' perched just up-slope from the 'Slow Dance Cave'.
