Eric getting high on "forty"!

Description

Gimme My Forty Sucka is the only climb that ascends the East face of the Hidden Boulder. It follows a slightly diagnol seam that starts about 8 feet off the ground. The route is almost perfectly vertical and good footwork probably makes the moves a little easier than V2... but once you find a loose hold ~20 feet off the deck you'll think it quite challenging.

Good face moves and a good way to scare yourself.

Protection

a couple stacked pads and a spotter would be wise... this one is pretty highball, and the stuff up top is a bit loose. Fortunately the landing is nice and flat, but it can look a long way off from up top.

There's an easy walkoff back and to the right once your up top.

OK last comments on the Nut Tree Boulders since there doesn't really seem to be any interest in getting the info right, there are several other problems besides "Gimmie My Forta Sucka". Straight shooter goes straight up vert to the crack apex where "40" comes in from the right. There is also an arete to the right that has been done, as well as some easier stuff to the right.

V1, not R. It's a little highball, but pretty reasonable all in all and is adequately protected with pads and spotter.

I'd say its not an OZ over .10d, which is VO in my book. The sit start is barely V1 (.11b/c) but only because you have to pull out so hard to get your ass off the ground. Just my opinion.
