DescriptionAs the name might imply, Tourist Trap is a popular area not only with climbers but also with the passers by. It lies right off the main "Moses Springs" trail, a mere 5-minute walk from the parking area. There are a half-dozen or so moderate routes. The most popular is Rat Race, an improbable 5.7 that surmounts an intimidating roof. A single rope is sufficient to climb and descend all routes. Getting TherePark at the upper lot on the East Side (the road terminus past the visitor center). From here, hike up the "Moses Springs" trail for a short ways, perhaps 5 minutes, looking for a signed "Climber Access" post on the right.
