Description

Golden Gate Wall is manmade. Golden Gate wall is only 12' tall. Golden Gate wall is not a destination worth driving to if you live anywhere but in The Bay Area proper. Calling it worth driving to from outside of The East Bay is probably a stretch.

That said...

This 300 (or so) foot uphill moving traverse offers an excellent workout for anyone trying to simply build stamina, or to recuperate without too much stress after an injury.

A very featured wall, there are two distinct routes: A higher easier ("5.8") route, and a lower, more difficult route. Feet are everywhere on the upper route, it's simply a matter of holding on through decent (but not good) rests that are plentiful.

However, looking at your forearms after attempting to go the distince your first few tries is what makes going to The Golden Gate Wall worthwhile.

Getting There

Approach time: 2 seconds, drunk and disabled.

Parking directions listed in the Area discription. To reach the wall, walk across the street. Try not to get hit by the dumbass "driving" the Lexus SUV and late to drop her kids off at the local private school.
