Richies "Living a Dream" V6!

Description

Stand start on overhanging side of the right arete as high up as you can reach on several pads. Lower starts are different problems, but the "normal" stand start at high sand goes at about V7.

Protection

pads (to keep the sand out of your shoes)

The Overhung section of the main rock of Fort Ross. Note the chalk marks, that's about all the vaguely conceivable holds.

until last year a boulder in the sand at the base of the arete was used to reach the starting holds - it is gone and is not coming back - "living a dream" must now be started on the left side of the arete on a r. hand undercling and l. hand sidepull. - it is now V6!

Ah yes, I remember it well. I was had just turned twenty, and on the road for six months with my good friend Seth...ra, ra. Anyway, our car broke down at Marcos's house and we were stuck in Santa Rosa for 2.5 weeks. Not a bad time. One day Marcos and Bonnie took us down to this boulder. We were listening to Stevie Ray on the way down there. Some brushing, working, chillin, smoking and there you have it- Living the Dream. It was a good day.

If any of you all out in there see Marcos, ask him to track down JJ, via this site. Thanx.
