The Classics
Mountain Project's determination of some of the classic, most popular, highest rated routes for Stonewall Peak:
From early spring to late summer this area grows dense with chaparral brush and lovely, potent smelling flowers. April - June insects swarm collecting pollen from new blooms. Reptiles are seen on trails more. July - Sept the climate is very hot, sunny, dry, dusty. October - February turkey vultures and large hawks flock and the climate becomes much cooler and cloudy.
This 1.8 mile peak is good for beginners or for those who like to just hike through arid brush.
