2009 Updated area restrictions for San Diego County MORE INFO >>>

Ramona Wall as seen from Ramona

Description

A large cliff north of the "Poway Crags Proper" area. Faces East so good for warm days if you are willing to hike in some heat. The left side of this is known as the "Miller Time Wall" in Kennedy's 1999 guide.

Getting There

North of the Poway Crags Proper area.

Protection Note

Although many of the routes in this area have bolts, they may still require gear. This area follows San Diego's ethic of mixed climbing: keep the climbing safe with bolts when needed but priority is given to gear placements. Unless you are confident the route you are getting on is sport bolted it is unwise to head up any climb here without a few cams ranging from .3" to 3". A few climbs will even trick you with a line of bolts that ends near the top with 30 feet to go on solid gear.
