DescriptionA nice little cragging area located on the flanks of Iron Mountain overlooking Ramona. There are two main areas. Poway Crags "Proper" is featured in the Kennedy guide and features short but steep climbs. The Ramona Wall is a separate area featuring longer but mostly more mellow climbing. Typical compact San Diego granite. Many bolted routes require a cam or two so bring a small rack up to 3". Getting TherePark just South of Poway road on the 67. Take the very popular hikers' trail up toward Iron Mountain. At the trail fork (1.5 mi) hang a left toward the Ramona Overlook (additional 0.5 mi).
