BETA PHOTO: J.G. Strikes Again (5.11a) starts well beneath the...

Description

This is a steep face climb, with longish reaches between good holds. Appearances suggest that a hold or two may have broke off, rendering the old rating of 5.10d when we climbed it, a bit short of today's rating. There is no recorded name of this route, so the current name represents who showed us this climb 10-12 years ago, John Gipson, who always seemed to come up with another gem of a route.

Location

After cresting the summit and heading downward through the antenna city, a couple of large propane tanks are encountered. Immediately left on the other side of the road, is a block building. Go up its walkway and continue past it (and a small ground level radar dish) into the bush steering right down a slippery eroded "trail."

Protection
