I just headed out here yesterday for the first time ever. I'm not much of a boulderer but this area may have changed my mind. Super frictony coarse rock in a great setting. About 1.5 hour drive from San Diego.

Went this past weekend, boy is getting hot! We had a passing thunderstorm drop rain for about a half an hour to cool things down. The climbing is fantastic, super coarse rock, lots of bumps and knuckles to get your fingers around. The route finding was difficult even with the San Diego climbing guide. I would recommend starting early as it takes a while to find a good set of problems outside of the standouts (vector crack, chocolate..).
