BETA PHOTO: Main Wall Left

Description

This wall can easily be seen from the equestrian trailhead at the end of Two Trees Rd. It is the longer southeast facing wall at the top of the first ridge, to the north of the trailhead. Although Main Wall Left is only 25’ high, it features many nice climbs from 5.7 to 5.11 and most routes have their own bolted anchor. There are a few fun moderate cracks but the hallmark of the Main Wall Left is sharp crimpers. Main Wall Left is actually two walls that overlap. There are four TR’s on the shorter, secondary wall behind and to the right of the northeast arete of the Main Wall Left proper. There is an easy walk-off to the left and to the right which makes this wall perfect for top-roping, but the protection is adequate for leading and the leads are quite fun. If you find short climbs to be boring, break out the crash pad and do some sweet highballs.

Getting There

From the parking lot on Blaine, either walk back up Terrace Dr. (the gravel alley leading northwest into the houses) and turn right on Belvedere Dr. and then right again on Two Trees Rd. or walk left on the gravel road at the end of Blaine, turning right on Two Trees. On the left side at the end of Two Trees you will see a locked gate with a utility right-of-way “no trespassing” sign. As far as I know, this is the access point into the park as it is clear that hikers and horseback riders go through this way, on the right side of the gate. About 50 yards down this “road” you’ll see a trail splitting off to the left. Follow this trail over to a point bellow the Main Wall, and head up the hillside.
