Long by Grotto standards, Mystic River is located on the south side of the Grotto, 20yds upstream from Game Boy. Mystic River climbs an inital bulge to a 5 bolt slab. Above the slab, the route steepens and stemming, liebacks, and pockets are utilzed to pass 4 bolts to ascend an awkward slot and arete section. A final headwall/bulge is passed on the left clipping 2 more bolts. Traverse right above the headwall to the 2-ring anchor.

The Grotto, Echo Cliffs. 20 yds upstream from Game Boy/Miss Pacman and directly across from Xanadu. Rap with 60 meter rope.
Watched 4 parties climb "Mystic River" today, a total of 13 climbers, and the consensus being that they're grateful that this climb has been put up. All indicated that the climb involves a variety of climbing techniques, excellent protection, stellar rock, and was cool in the shade while the remainder of Echo Cliffs was hot.
