This uniquely shaped formation is just off the trail on the way to the Astro Domes and, depending upon your inclinations, looks like a variety of things.
One route, the aptly named Monster Hole (5.10b), exists on the formation and involves some interesting moves that are rarely found on a climb, certainly at least in Joshua Tree.
Getting There
Hike the Wonderland Wash to a point about 200 yards past the Bankrupt Wall where the distinctive shape of the formation will be seen on the right (east) side of the trail.
