Description

A tribute to Randy, Leavitt that is. We all know the routes, early 90s specials, all 5.13s. Such names as The Powers That Be (5.13a); Chain of Addiction (5.13b); the wicked hard La Machine (5.13d) and of course Ocean of Doubt (5.13b) had us talking, dreaming, and of being Leavitt, Rudy Hofmeister, Rob Slater, Tony Yaniro, Glen Svenson et al. Mega classics for any honemaster.

Getting There

Sitting atop the Timbuktu Towers lies the Ivory Tower. This is up from the Atom Smasher Boulders, 3 miles from the Willow Hole parking area.

Randy so named this rock that defined Ivory Tower as (figuratively) " a place of mental withdrawl from reality and action, as a symbol of escapism."
