When John reached the top he told me that discussion:<br />Stranger: "Your friend is up there in the sun in this heat?"<br />JD: "Yeah"<br />Stranger: "That's something you don't see everyday. No shirt huh? (chuckle)"<br />JD: "No... ?"<br />Str: "He's going to grease up his traverse. Where's his chalk bag?"<br />JD: "He doesn't carry one."<br />Str: (laughing again) "Well, that climb is not for everyday use." (walks away)<br /><br />It was an obtuse comment, but let's just say I got the point.
