My Partner, John was discussing something at the base with a passerby as I hang on for deal life. When John reached the top he told me that discussion: Stranger: "Your friend is up there in the sun in this heat?" JD: "Yeah" Stranger: "That's something you don't see everyday. No shirt huh? (chuckle)" JD: "No... ?" Str: "He's going to grease up his traverse. Where's his chalk bag?" JD: "He doesn't carry one." Str: (laughing again) "Well, that climb is not for everyday use." (walks away)
It was an obtuse comment, but let's just say I got the point.
