Lizard's Landing-Central Formation.

Description

This set of crags is well north of Trashcan Rock, beyond Vagmarken Buttress and The Negropolis.

Getting There

Drive 1.8 miles south from the entrance station, and park at a small pullout on the east side of the road. Walk about a mile northeast to get to the crags. There is an eastern formation well separated from the central/western formation pair.

From the parking lot head straight out past a dirt pit on your right. Follow the wash behind the pit to the right for a quarter mile or so. After a small rock formation on your left you'll see a little sign (forget what it says), make a left into another wash about 20 yards past that. That will eventually (quarter mile?) lead you to a well defined trail. Follow that northward for about half a mile and it will lead you straight to Lizard's Landing.
