Description

This section covers a large area from the Lost Horse Road south to the intersection with the Real Hidden Valley Road. A number of pullouts are available to access the various problems and most of the approaches are fairly quick with little to no scrambling.

Notable problems in this area are Chunkers (5.8), False Up 20 (5.9), Dead Pinyon Crack (V0 R), False Blockhead (V1), Lip Service (V2), Yabo Roof (V3) and the classic JBMFP (V5).

Getting There

Please see the individual boulders for more information. Most of the bouldering is, as the name says, "roadside" - so plan on a 5-10 minute walk max for most problems.

Around and left from the JBMFP Boulder is a massive boulder, the largest in the area, with a striking lieback flake on it's north face. Solid moves on this the whole way, but it gets pretty high and (pads or not) falling is probably best avoided. Two stars out of five....[more]   Browse More Classics in CA
