Nearing the top of the patina on Hoi Polloi (V0), ...

Description

Located on the northwest face of the Hoi Polloi Boulder, about 8' right of Prince Hoi (V2) where the patina starts to become less uniform and more broken.

Start to the right of a lighter patch of rock shaped like the African continent, and work up incut patina edges and plates trending slightly left until they end and then finish up a grainy but solid slab (the slab finish is shared with Prince Hoi). The easy downclimb is found on the east (backside) of the boulder.

This is a study in contrasts with it's steep, positive holds at the start and lower-angled balancy slab as you get higher above the ground - classic Josh bouldering!
