This large, rounded boulder with it's dark brown/tan mottled appearance does look like a gigantic dinosaur egg sitting out in the desert. You'll find the boulder just west of the Chuckawalla Boulder atop a flat slab of rock and notice that it has a smaller piece that's split off the east face.
Problems here range in difficulty from 5.7 to V2 with most being V1 and under providing a good concentration of easy to moderate problems. Highlights here include the patina speckled face of the West Face (5.9), the fun hand traverse of The Egg Timer (5.9) and the positive and then sloping moves on Platypus (V0).
Descent is usually done by downclimbing the West Arete (5.7), but it's possible to downclimb a bit and jump off as well if you like.
Getting There
Approach as for the Chuckawalla Boulder and other boulders scattered about the Iron Door Cave.
