DescriptionThis semi-hidden gem is well worth the five minute approach as it has a number of quality problems on it's steep, bulging face. Lunge For It (aka All Lunged Out) (V3), Soar Eagle (V6), All Washed Up (V6), Bald Eagle (V8) and All Burned Out (V8) are all found here and worthy of attention. Getting ThereFrom the large parking area at the south side of Cap Rock head east following the loop "nature trail". Take the left fork when the trail splits (you'll pass Collieherb (V1) on your right after several hundred yards) and then make a left into a narrow corridor soon after the trail passes between some large rock formations off the trail - if you miss the turn-off and reach the Pumping Monzonite Boulder you've gone too far. Total approach time is about 5 minutes.

All Washed Up V6 R CA : Joshua Tree National Park : ... : Sandy Wash Corridor
The left side of the face, climb obvious small crimps up overhanging rock of excellent quality. At the higher horizontal somewhat larger crimps provide a bit of relief as you figure out how to negotiate the completely blank, rounded topout and get to that jug that's too far away :) Totally awesome problems and reasonably straightforward for the grade compared to some of Joshua Tree's classic "blank" nightmares!...[more]
