Description
Indian Head is the large formation seen high on the hillside, to the west of Utah Trail, while heading south from 29 Palms and Hwy 62. From the northeast, around Rocky Road, the rock has the appearance of an Indian (Native American) head profile. Routes have also been done on smaller surrounding areas.
Getting There
Head south on Utah Trail toward the 29 Palms Park entrance. After 3.2 miles you come to Wellock Rd. on the left. Park, then head west , up the obvious gully.
