At the beginning of the crux section between the 6...

Description

Begin at the base of the west facing overhanging Corrugated Wall and climb past eight bolts on excellent rock to sport anchors. Reachy and powerful moves are encountered between the 6th and 8th bolts. This is yet another classic climb in The Valley Of Kings (4 out of 5 stars)!

Protection

Quickdraws for eight bolts. An optional #3 TCU between the third and fourth bolts. It is also possible to clip a loop at the end of a long runner that extends down from the fourth bolt. Sport anchors are at the top of the route.

Vern demonstrates why he needs a refresher course in double rope technique in the photo below.

In retrospect, I recognized that I shouldn't have alternated the ropes for each clip but fortunately the wall was so overhanging that a fall up high would not result in any significant abrasion between the two ropes where they were crossing each other. Hey Murf, would you be so kind as to critique my double rope technique for the routes on The Morrissey Crag?

Excellent route with good moves. The rock below the fourth bolt was too hollow to drill a bolt, which is why that stupid sling is there.
