Randy Vogel's "Rock Climbing Joshua Tree" guide left me somewhat confused about this area. The guide book states that this formation is southeast of the other Galapagos formations. I found it to be south or slightly southwest by my compass reading. Routes are on a slab on the northwest side, which is actually two faces separated by a boulder filled gully. There is also a slab on the south side with good rock, but very low-angle.
Getting There
From Geology Tour Road head for the large formation on the south end. From Ryan follow the regular approach to Galapagos, but keep west of the other formations and head straight for Darwin Dome.
