BETA PHOTO: Anasazi Wall from the west.

Description

The Anasazi Wall is located on the West Face of Petroglyph Rock (The east side faces the Gunsmoke Traverse). The main attraction is Physical Graffiti (10d), a tightly bolted 2 pitch sport climb that features a hand traverse across a dike, then steeper face climbing to a surprising overhang and another dike.

Getting There

From the Echo Rock parking lot, walk east all the way through the canyon between The Snickers and Big Hunk formations. You'll be walking directly toward the Anasazi Wall, which is located just up and left from the smaller Sandworm Rock on the right.

Pitch 2 traverses left, then up steeper face climbing to the top.(6 bolts and 2 fixed pins) Bolted belay/rap anchor. Rap 80 feet....[more]   Browse More Classics in CA
