Description
Great little route that, I believe, has gotten harder over the years due to erosion. It's great friction and edging practice with no risk to mind or body. You'll find it just to the right of Parental Guidance...
At the time I climbed this route, I was not solid at the 5.10 grade but managed to pull it off. There is one thing that I remember frustrating me about the route. After the final bolt... are you meant to climb straight up or exit right at that point?? (which I did the latter) I also recall that it was difficult to set an anchor up top rope my wife off of. (I used long slings anchored up by the tree)
Over time this route has gotten more difficult due to erosion of edges etc. Pertaining to the question as to going straight up or traversing right at the last bolt, both seem to be about the same difficulty. I prefer right though.
I've not gone straight up from the last bolt; however, Bill Briggs told me that's the way he and his wife Karen did it: straight up and then break at a slight angle to the right. I'm going to try it next time. This is an excellent little route to practice your face climbing; you'd have to work hard to get hurt.
