First morning light on the SE face of Mt. Clarence King. I took this photo from above the shelf where we spent a cold and practically sleepless night after a full day of establishing first ascent of NE Ridge. Here Pavel is leading the first of the three remaining pitches, partially frozen and stiff but happy to be finally moving. We went over the summit and descended Clarence King's SE Ridge (on the left side of the photo) - September 17, 2006
