Susan on an end of the day moon-boot freesolo.

Description

Great starter route. Lots of positive holds on quality rock. Fun for the kids, grandpa or beginners alike.

Location

Route is located on the front side of Sunnyside and next to "parking lot rock". Just right of a large trough.

Mayr guide - route 818

Protection

bolts to chain anchor (ok, only two links but that's still chain right?)

Little Jack Horner was established as a first outdoor route for my then 4 year old son "Little Jack". Originally a top rope, lead bolts were added later.

Jack, I thought this route was fun. Especially for kids as it has lots hand & foot holds. I remember when my daughter was young and she would have loved it.

It may be my one and only route on the "solo circuit" at NJC as it can be easily down climbed via route or crack to the left. Plus as Russ said, "it's a livable fall"

Where's the pics of your son?
