BETA PHOTO: Garden Wall is all about low angle slab climbing. ...

Description

Climb the corner crack system between P- Wall and Garden Wall. Mostly Class 4 with a easy 5.0 move under the giant chock stone at the top. Very dirty and loose towards the top. Can be linked with a ramp traversing right out on to the P-Wall about 2/3 height.

OK, so you've done absolutely everything else and for some reason you think you'd like to try the "moutaineers route" (aka gully route). I don't know what got into me, but I wanted to try it. As advertised, it's very dirty, filled with poison oak, loose, and worst of all - thistles. Give it a try if you're in the mood for something different. Very different. It's not really climbing, more like slogging up a dirt filled gully.

I love this "climb" maybe it's a hike. Never the less it is my favorite way to BP's summit. It is way more fun ropeless as there are only one or two reckless moves easily overcome with sticky rubber. I was traing for some Palisades climbs and did this route in my ultra stiff mt. boots. I gear led it once and found that to be a real drag. If you need some quick cardio and don't have a partner and are comfortable at the grade you can't beat this route for a quick adventure! I'll stand by my one star rating...

By the way - I made up the name since I have not seen it in any literature.
