Planning on climbing in the Bugs this thursday for a week and have a few questions for any of you in the know. Planning on doing NE ridge bugaboo spire, Pigeon spire, wildflowers, +/- McTech arete. Some conflicting beta on descents: I plan on bringing 2 ropes, will I need 2 ropes? ( I realize doubles are ideal but only have a 9.5 70meter, and 7 mm rap line) Also what about footwear, can I gets away with low top approach shoes, or will want some some light weight boots? (I have crampons to fit both) Are mosquitoes an issue up there, will I need the headnet? thanks!!

One rope is fine for the regular descent of Bugaboo, Crescent, south summit of Snowpatch, and Pigeon, so you can leave your 7mm at home.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
