Description Suggest change

Located just southeast of the village of Buehl in the black forrest is "Buehlertal" (tal meaning valley) which offers 4 crags, mostly granite sprinkled with quarzite. In good weather, it has fantastic far reaching views and is a particularly nice area in the Fall.

Getting There Suggest change

Take the A5 southwards in the direction of Basel and get off at the exit for Buehl.Take the L83 through the village of Buehlertal which will become steep.

The parking area for Wiedenfels is after the serpentine (windy road) around Hotel Wiedefels.

Head further to Plaettig through the intersection with Schwarzwald-Hochstrasse and take a left. After 1.5km just after houses begin on the right, but before the Hotel Buehlerhoehe take a left into the big "Wanderparkplatz" i.e. hiking parking lot.
