BETA PHOTO: Bruces Crack

Great crack system shooting up through a blocky roof. Widens from hands to almost OW near the anchor. Slabby and easy to protect. Get a great read from the ground and go for it.

On the NW face of the plug of granite known as the Island. The only real crack on the Island. Look for a roof at half height.

Hand to fist sized cams work nice. Chain anchor.

This was my first trad climb. It's a pretty easy climb and great route for learning to set your own pro.
