Description
The Brimstones hold a number of problems on superior grit. Brimstone Edge is south by southwest facing and therefore gets a lot sun. In the summer it could be sweltering and full of midges. Brimstone West is in fact West facing, so this might be best in the morning on hot summer days.
Getting There
North of the town Belcoo, follow Boho Road Scenic Route, until you see sign for Aghanaglack Dual Court Grave. Turn left and follow road to destination. Park at the entrance to Ballintempo Forest Park and hike in because you will not be able to park at the boulders. The hike in is 30-45 minutes. From the parking lot head due North(straight if you were coming into the parking lot from town). Stay right at the first split in the road just a short distance in from the parking lot. Stay left at the split a 20 minutes in. The way to the right is for the Aghanaglack Dual Court Grave and there should be a sign for this. The massive sparkling white face of Brimstone Edge will be the most visible, although you will see lots of potential on the way in. The GPS co-ordinances are for the parking lot.
