DescriptionA decent crag in the Jura, notable mostly for nice southern exposure and easy access by train, making it a good cool-weather destination for single-pitch climbing. Over 30 routes (5c-8b), enough for a few visits. Getting ThereTrain to Balsthal (55min from Zurich), walk up the hill past the church. You can see the crag from town, hard to get lost… There are a few hiking signs as well pointing to Holzflue. Cross over the stone bridge that gives the wall its name, and then head right up a short trail to access the wall, marked with a sign that says Stöckliweg. Parking can be had behind the church (although the sign says 'only for visitors to the cemetary).
