Start with an awkward layback, reach to single pad positive holds, then up to an akward hug/open hand pinch on a big protruding hold. From there make the big reach to a good grip just over the bulge. You can now get a dual membership at the BRC and the Spot, making for probably the best indoor climbing experience in North America. I don't work either place, I didn't get paid to write this, I just want to make sure two of the best gyms around stay that way.
The BRC offers some of the hardest indoor routes you can find up to 5.14. Also, you may want to go on a day besides Wednesday or Monday, because that is when it is most crowded because the junior teams are practicing.
I've recently had multiple conversations with people I meet at the BRC who have mentioned the open, genuine atmosphere at the gym. I agree. If you want a place that demonstrates the vibrant spirit of Boulder's climbing community, this is it...and the route setting just keeps being stellar! Hats off to Brent and the crew!
