Boulder Rock Club Sport Climbing Meet Up

Hey everyone my name is Mike Wright and I'm really focused on climbing at this point in my life. I just moved out here from Cleveland Ohio and am the happiest I've ever been. I would really like to get some local people together who have the drive to climb hard and constantly get better. Im really trying to get better at sport climbing. I really would like to get a few solid climbing parters together so when the weathers nice we have a tight crew to go climbing outside whenever we want. I want to see climbers of all abilities come to the meet ups. Hi Mike, welcome to Colorado! I have family in Ohio and there are tons of Midwesterners out here. I too am trying to find a new solid crew to climb with. So many of my partners have moved, become injured, or are focusing on other adventures this summer. BRC & Movement are my two favorite gyms. I usually try to climb 2-3 times a week in the gym, but prefer climbing outside. I'm well versed on the routes in Clear Creek and many areas of Shelf.

I work Monday - Thursday out in Aurora and can't climb until after 6pm. However, I have most Friday's off and am free all weekends. I also have summers off and am rather obsessed with climbing. I've been climbing for years, but admittedly, am not a fan of leading. I'll lead belay all day long and love to clean. I just don't get a thrill out of lead climbing. I do love the challenge of 11s, though...and it's hard to find people who prefer to lead. My current partner always wants to lead and I'm so stoked to follow!
