Yes, mocking an accident is especially scummy. You gotta ignore the non-contributor pricks though, they'll just come crawling pathetically back when they get banned anyway. Whoever recovered it should definitely give the gear back to these good samaritans.

Yes, yes I know. But, I suppose I'm somewhat of a troll myself in that it gives me pleasure to spew mouth diarrhea to such a worthy recipient. Helps keep my vulgabulary honed as well.

Also, I don't know why I'm getting sucked into the trolls of this Derek alias or whatever it is, but I think I can't take his shit anymore on this site. 2 weeks of nothing but troll posts.

Someone standing behind you with a gun to your head forcing you to read Dereks amateur trolls? You can't take it? Really?

Thanks for all of the support guys. Your kind wishes and willingness pass on some gear are really appreciated. It's awesome to see that for every one jerk there are ten awesome people that have your back with out even knowing you. I hope we can drink a beer sometime on me. Rob Rethans

Definitely if the gear isn't returned I'd be willing to replace it given the circumstances - I'm glad there are climbers out there who pitch in to help in an emergency, even if that means leaving gear to do so. Afterall, any of us could find ourselves in the unfortunate circumstances of a climbing accident. Mark Lewis

I saw the post on SuperTopo about the accident. Could you elaborate on what piece popped? I know the climb and that specific crux and was just curious about the gear?

Thanks and I'm glad to hear your friend is gonna be okay
