Looking towards the Northern Buttress

Good quality granite slabs and cracks. Can be busy on the weekends. Hot in the middle of summer and cold in the middle of winter.

Getting There

Canberra - Drive to Tharwa - follow Naas Road then turn right onto Apollo Road. Watch for signs. Grunt up hill for 20 mins from carpark on good track.

If you're staying in the area be sure to visit the Canberra Space Centre and the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, Even though Canberra is the capital city it's pretty quiet, it's a designed town, much like Brasilia, spread around several large lakes, with towns separated by wide boulevards. I usually stay in Kingston, which has a big block of restaurants and pubs. A car is essential here.
