Closed MORE INFO >>>
Santa Clara County Department of Parks and Recreation Dept. has closed Summit Rock to climbing year-round to protect peregrine falcons. The AF is working to reduce this to a closure for the nesting season only, which is the standard management approach.
This information is a public crowdsourcing effort between the Access Fund,
and Mountain Project. You should confirm closures, restrictions, and/or related dates.

Description This Summit Rock classic is just right of Wide Crack and left of U. of Santa Clara Practice Climb #1. It ascends a prominent arete to a ledge. Crux is steep face climbing directly after the ledge. Follow the bolt ladder to the anchor.
Protection 4 bolts on route, 2-bolt anchor. Crux is well-protected. May need a long sling for the anchor.

| Fun route, but I can't agree that it deserves 3 stars... maybe I just don't find slab climbing that exciting? |
