Description

This may belong under the Nautilus, but it is a separate rock 200ft to the east of it, near the Torpedo Tubes so I listed as a separate area.

Getting There

Walk along the south face of the Nautilus, past Friday the 13th to a point just before the Torpedo Tubes. Continue walking a few hundred feet to the east to the rock. All four routes face the Torpedo Tubes on the southwest face. This small formation has a massive, geometric boulder sitting on top of it known as both Exfoliate Boulder and Diamond Rock.

Climbing Season

For the Vedauwoo area.

At the right end of the northwest side of Boat Rock is a shelf 20 feet off the ground and flanked at both ends by projecting walls forming wide cracks with the rock face between the flanking walls. Pleasure Cruise and Seaworthy ascend these cracks. They both look like one-move climbs. However, each provides 75 feet of varied and enjoyable passage. Descent from both is a scramble to the left.Climb the handcrack in the left wall using chimney moves as convenient. Proceed until beneath...[more]   Browse More Classics in WY
